These little beasties have been providing the basics of garments, home decor, and lively hoods for thousands of year. Who decided to shear that first sheep, water buffalo (that was brave) or camel; then figured out how to clean the wool (bet there was a lot of felting going on…lol), get all those fibers going the same way and then turning it into a long string of rope??? Think about it, “hey Eve darling, thought you could do some this with this smelly, poo filled sheep coat in your craft room?!”
As I knit with my beautifully soft Alpaca silk fiber I am eternally grateful for their clever work and forward engineering thought process-I love far better I knitted garmets then I ever would in a Tommy Hilfigure grape leaf dress.
